Manchester United fans were furious after watching Moussa Sissoko appear to stamp on Daniel James in their pre-season friendly match.
James was shielding the ball near the corner flag before Sissoko upended him with a rough challenge from behind, leaving the Welshman on the floor.
Before the United winger could get to his feet, the France international looked to have left his foot in a little too long and dug his studs into James's midriff.
