Referee Megia Davila sent off Andy Gray in a LaLiga Smartbank match between Toledo and Marbella in 1995 after his assistant warned him that the player had dropped his pants to show his butt to the stands.
The conversation between the two on the sideline was captured by the cameras of Canal+ and was highlighted by Julio 'Maldini' Maldonado at El Dia Despues.
"Who was it?" asked Davila, with his assistant replying: "The black guy."
This incident, which remained a mere anecdote, brings to mind what happened on Tuesday in France during the Champions League duel between Paris Saint-Germain and Istanbul Basaksehir.
The fourth official in that game used racist language, with the players leaving the pitch and the match being suspended only to be played on Wednesday with different referees.
