Cristiano Ronaldo's interview with Morgan last week sparked heated discussion about his income. According to The Sun, Ronaldo earns up to £488,000 a day, and the watch he wore during the interview with Morgan is worth £1.1 million.

According to The Sun, Cristiano Ronaldo, 40, earns a staggering £488,000 a day in Saudi Arabia.

This summer, he signed the most lucrative contract in sports history with his club, earning a £24.5 million signing bonus. If he triggers the second year of his contract, the bonus will increase to £38 million.

In a recent interview with Morgan Stanley, Ronaldo chose to wear a Jacob & Co Twin Turbo Furious Baguette watch, crafted from 18k white gold. Only 18 pieces of this timepiece exist worldwide, featuring a decimal minute repeater and a double tri-axis tourbillon for enhanced precision, and set with over 360 baguette-cut diamonds.

In the interview, Ronaldo discussed in detail his wealth since becoming the first billionaire footballer (according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index).

He told Morgan, “Reaching that number is my goal. I’m not obsessed with money, but when you reach a certain level, money doesn’t matter anymore, though the more the merrier.”

“Numbers don’t lie. If you see so many records in football, ‘Ronaldo is at the top, another record is about to be set,’ it doesn’t surprise me, because I know my potential both inside and outside of football. I know I will eventually reach that number.”
