The statue is located in the remote Patagonian town of Cutral Có. While its scale is impressive and visually striking, its appearance differs significantly from Messi, prompting netizens to voice complaints on social media.
One fan combined pictures of the two statues and posted them with the caption: "Pick one to go to battle."
