Although France looked set to progress to the Euro 2020 quarter-finals when Paul Pogba curled home an unstoppable effort to give his side a 3-1 lead against Switzerland, their evening rapidly descended into a nightmare.
Not only did Switzerland force extra-time before going on to win on penalties, but infighting amongst the families of certain France players, as well as players on the pitch, also took place.
Now, the details of the clash between captain Raphael Varane and Benjamin Pavard have emerged, with Pavard criticising Paul Pogba.
Varane: "Benji [Benjamin Pavard], seriously, be careful. You are not dealing with the long balls well."
Pavard: "But it's also [Paul] Pogba's fault."
Varane: What?
Pavard: Pogba is not getting back, he is leaving us for sh*t."
Varane: "I will talk to him."
