Brazil defender Thiago Silva has dismissed suggestions he has had a falling out with star team-mate Neymar.
The 33-year-old claimed after Brazil beat Costa Rica that he was 'saddened' because the £198million forward had 'insulted' him during the game.
But after Tite's side secured top spot in Group E with a 2-0 win over Serbia on Wednesday, Silva insisted he was only joking about a rift with Neymar.
'There are people who talk a lot, but I have never had anything against Neymar,' he told Le Parisien.
'It's a joke that I made and the journalists talked about it badly.'
It was Silva's header from a Neymar corner that ensured Brazil will take on Group F runners up Mexico in the round of 16 ahead of a possible clash with Belgium in the last-eight.
And ahead of Monday's showdown in Samara, Silva warned his team-mates not to overlook their last-16 opponents.
'Mexico are a very good team, we have to be wary of that. Against Germany they deserved their (1-0) victory,' he said.
'We have to make as few errors as possible because if we go out in the last-16, it would all been for nothing.'
