June 30 saw a number of players' contracts expire at their current clubs, freeing them up to move elsewhere for no fee. Now we take a look at the best XI who are free from July 1.
Of the players whose deals run out, a competitive starting XI could be formed: Gianluigi Buffon; Dani Alves, Thomas Vermaelen, Gary Cahill, Filipe Luis; Ander Herrera, Adrien Rabiot, Franck Ribery, Arjen Robbe; Daniel Sturridge, Danny Welbeck.

Goalkeepers
Buffon is the big name, but Guillermo Ochoa, Roberto Santamaria and Adrian are others available.
Defenders
As well as the four mentioned in the above team, Cristian Zapata will leave AC Milan and Alberto Moreno will also move.
Midfielders
Samir Nasri could be on the move again this summer, as well as Nemanja Radoja, Fran Rico and Ander Iturraspe.
Forwards
Two big names not listed are Mario Balotelli and Fernando Llorente, who will both have many of Europe's sides knocking on their door.
