New England manager Thomas Tuchel was in attendance at Anfield as Liverpool faced Manchester United.
Tuchel, who officially started his new job on January 1, was attending his third Premier League game of the weekend.
On Saturday, Tuchel watched the early kick off between Tottenham versus Newcastle and was then present as Brighton faced Arsenal in the evening.
Just four English players started the clash between Liverpool and United.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones started for Liverpool, with Harvey Elliott and Jarell Quansah named on the bench.
Meanwhile, Harry Maguire and Kobbie Mainoo were named in United's starting lineup, while youngster Toby Collyer was listed amongst the substitutes.
Tuchel is set to take charge of England's World Cup qualifier at home to Albania on March 21, with another home game to follow against Latvia three days later. Andorra and Serbia are also in England's qualifying group.
Dominic Solanke, who has three caps for England, opened the scoring for Tottenham against Newcastle, with Anthony Gordon equalising for the visitors.
Other Englishmen who featured for Tottenham included Brandon Austin, Djed Spence, Archie Gray and James Maddison.
Meanwhile, Tino Livramento, Lewis Hall, Jacob Murphy, Harvey Barnes, Joe Willock, Sean Longstaff and Lloyd Kelly were all involved for Newcastle.
Later in the day, Ethan Nwaneri, who currently represents England at Under-19 level, scored for Arsenal against Brighton but later suffered an injury that caused him to be withdrawn at half time. Declan Rice was also in action.
The only English player to feature for Brighton was Adam Webster, who came on as a substitute.
