Tonali also spoke about his feelings for Milan in a lengthy interview with Sky Sport.
"Will I follow Milan? Yes, always. And it will be the same 20 years from now: I will always watch them, even if I'm not as familiar with the players now because many have changed. I believe fans never change their allegiance. For me, it will be like this my whole life."
The midfielder then spoke about the Italy national team's form since Roberto Mancini returned to the post: "He knows the environment well. When he first arrived, he sorted everything out, which is exactly what was needed at the beginning. Then, step by step, we worked a lot in training, focusing on quality, because the players have the ability, as we saw against Turkey and France. Mancini made us understand that we are strong players and must always attack and defend as a team, in every match and every minute. He made us a bit calmer in games. For example, I'd point to the away match against Turkey, which was the first after the defeat to Belgium and the first of three strong performances. In the first half, we were not only aggressive and high-quality, but also very well organized: everyone knew what they had to do, everyone had their space, and everyone was running for their teammates. That's exactly what we practiced a lot in training during those 16 days."
