Torreira makes fresh claim on future amid Milan transfer links

Lucas Torreira insists he's happy at Arsenal and has heard nothing of the supposed transfer interest from AC Milan.

The Uruguayan has been heavily linked with a move to the Serie A giants just a year after leaving Italian side Sampdoria to move to the Emirates last summer.

But speaking ahead of Uruguay's Copa America clash with Peru on Saturday, the midfielder claimed he was happy with the Gunners even if the adaptation to English life has been tough.

"Nobody from AC Milan has got in touch with me, today I’m in the Premier and happy to be part of the Arsenal ," he said.

"It cost me, the adaptation. It’s not easy, but I only think about the team. I’m happy to be there."

Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport had suggested that Milan were prepared to offer Arsenal one of two players in order to sweeten any Torreira deal, with left-back Ricardo Rodriguez and midfielder Franck Kessie the two players mentioned.

Gunners boss Emery is said to have £45million to spend this summer, plus whatever money the club can raise from player sales.
