Jan Bednarek scored an own goal in the 18th minute to give Tottenham the lead. However, Southampton's Armando Broja equalled the scores five minutes later.
Son restored Tottenham's advantage by scoring a sensational goal in the 70th minute of the game. But, it didn't last long before Mohamed Elyounoussi claimed an equaliser.
However, it was Che Adams who provided Southampton with the winner that saw them walk away from the fixture with all three points.
