Igor Tudor has overseen four consecutive defeats since being appointed Tottenham manager last month, with the Spurs boss now facing an uncertain future ahead of this weekend's clash with Liverpool
Tottenham Hotspur are said to be bracing themselves for another managerial change amid ongoing doubts surrounding Igor Tudor's future. Tudor joined Spurs only last month on a contract running until the end of the season, but has overseen four consecutive defeats since taking charge in north London.
The latest setback came in the form of a 5-2 thrashing by Atletico Madrid in the opening leg of their Champions League last-16 tie earlier this week, with Tottenham now turning their attention to a Premier League encounter with Liverpool this weekend.
Tudor's position has been the focus of widespread speculation in recent weeks, with the Madrid defeat only fuelling the rumours further. Now, a fresh update has emerged regarding the 47-year-old's future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
According to The Athletic, Tottenham are weighing up their alternatives as they formulate contingency plans should they opt to part ways with Tudor following this weekend's match with Liverpool.
The report suggests that Tottenham are "actively" assessing multiple prospective candidates who could succeed Tudor in the Spurs hot seat should a change be made after the weekend, reports football.london.
It has also been suggested that it remains uncertain whether Tottenham would seek to install another interim manager or pursue a candidate on a permanent basis.
Various candidates have been linked as potential successors to Tudor should he leave the club, including ex-Everton and Nottingham Forest manager Sean Dyche.

Dyche recently departed Forest after leaving the City Ground last month, and has now emerged as a potential candidate for the move to north London.
Tudor spoke to reporters before Tottenham's fixture with Liverpool, with the Spurs interim manager revealing just how challenging the past few days have been following the Atletico defeat.
“Tough, for sure. Not just because of last game, but because of the period and the past,” Tudor said. “Not easy situation, not an easy moment and from other side a big challenge to change things.

“Like everything in life, you can choose how to see the situation. So, you can stay and cry or you can fight. You can be the victim or you can say I can change something. This is the message I want to start and what I told to the players.
“Everyone speaking, everyone has opinions and the life is always how you see it. The bottle is always half empty or half full.
“Here there is nothing full, there is a lot of empty things but difficult moments don’t last forever. It will pass and I believe the players who will take this as a challenge, as an opportunity will stand up with the courage to change things, after this period they will become better people and better players.”
