Tottenham have confirmed that Giovani Lo Celso has been ruled out of action until the end of October with a hip injury.
Lo Celso, who Tottenham signed on a season-long loan from Real Betis, sustained the hip injury during Argentina's match against Chile during the international break.
In a statement on Tuesday afternoon, the Premier League outfit wrote: 'He will now undergo a period of rehabilitation and is expected to return to training with the first team towards the end of October.'
This will come as a big blow to Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino after finally getting his man on deadline day from La Liga.
Pochettino has gradually been giving Lo Celso more minutes in the Premier League as the games have gone on, bringing his compatriot off bench in the last three matches.
