Antonio Conte is holding his press conference following the 3-3 draw at Southampton on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League.
Spurs had the chance, if they could win, to climb up into third place for the international break thanks to Manchester United's involvement in the FA Cup, albeit with Erik ten Hag's side having two games in hand. Conte named an unchanged side to the one that beat Nottingham Forest the previous weekend, but he lost Richarlison within four minutes to an injury which left the Brazilian inconsolable as he trudged off the pitch.
Both sides lost further players in the first with Saints having Armel Bella-Kotchap and Jan Bednarek forced off and Spurs then needed Ben Davies to be replaced.
Tottenham found the breakthrough at the start of the seven minutes of added time at the end of the first half. It came from a lovely incisive ball from Son Heung-min - his 50th Premier League assist - and Pedro Porro took a touch and smashed it in off the crossbar, his first goal for Tottenham.
Southampton equalised just a minute into the second half as Theo Walcott got down the right in acres of space and crossed low for Che Adams to prod home with Spurs all over the place.
Tottenham retook the lead after the hour mark when Dejan Kulusevski curled a pinpoint cross to the back post where Harry Kane rose highest to head home. They extended their advantage with 15 minutes to go as Ivan Perisic scored his first goal for Spurs. Kulusevski's cross was headed out to the Croatian and he hit his half-volley into the turf and it bounced up and into the net.
Saints found another goal though when Sekou Mara's header in the Spurs box found Walcott completely unmarked to stroke the ball home.
The hosts then grabbed a late equaliser when Pape Matar Sarr was adjudged to have caught Ashley Maitland-Niles rather than the ball and James Ward-Prowse powered the spot kick just past the outstretched fingertips of Fraser Forster.
