Chelsea news: Thomas Tuchel got a huge result in his first game as Bayern Munich manager whilst Graham Potter fell to another defeat vs Aston Villa on Saturday.
Thomas Tuchel romped to a massive 4-2 win in his first game as Bayern Munich manager whilst Chelsea were condemned to yet another loss under Graham Potter.
With the Blues failing to kick on under Potter the view of the fan favourite elsewhere has frustrated fans. That hasn't been helped with the latest set of fixtures either.
Ollie Watkins' first half goal meant that there were further boos at SW6 heading into the break whilst John McGinn's long-range strike doubled the visitors' lead. Having entered the game level on points, with Chelsea only in 10th on goal difference, the defeat is the latest result piling pressure on Potter.
As a result of that game there is a chance that Tuchel and Chelsea could meet face-to-face much sooner than expected. Should the Blues find a way past competition holders Real Madrid they would set up a semi-final tie against one of Tuchel's Bayern or Manchester City.
One user took to social media to express their anger, writing: "That Thomas Tuchel impact after one training sessionbut Graham Potter needs ¾ of a season + a preseason before we're allowed to say he's had time to improve things. I miss my Chelsea, we look unrecognisable these days."
Meanwhile another supporter vented: "SACK GRAHAM POTTER NOW. THE WORST MANAGER IN CHELSEA HISTORY. WE ARE LOSING TO ASTON VILLA WHILE TUCHEL IS COOKING DORTMUND. WHAT IS THIS."
Others added: "How Chelsea moved from a Manager like Tuchel to Potter should be a case study in schools for definition of FAILURE," and "Chelsea let go of Tuchel for Graham Potter they deserve this."
