The latest from Turin is that Cristiano Ronaldo will stay at Juventus until 2022. Tuttosport report that the player is happy at the club and does not wish to leave yet.
The Portuguese superstar joined Juventus in 2018; he now seemingly plans to play at least four seasons at Juventus. So far he has made 53 Serie A appearances scoring 42 goals.
There were rumours circulating earlier this month in relation to a potential return to Manchester United. But, for now, this isn’t a likely move. This isn’t to say that an eventual return may happen, of course. It would be interesting to see how a 37-year-old Ronaldo would attract for such a deal in 2022.
Even at the age of 35, Ronaldo is scoring hatfuls of goals; he has scored 25 goals and has notched four assists in all 32 appearances thus far. With the current crisis, he may not get to finish up on what was shaping up to be another fantastic season.
Previously, he has refused to rule out becoming a manager or coach. For now, he is a Juventus player, yet to close his final chapter in Italy.
