European football's governing body UEFA will today make a decision on what to do with this Summer's European Championship's according to a report in today's print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation, UEFA were forced to call a meeting with all of their 55 member associations and boards of leagues among others to work out a way forward for all competitions almost all of which have been put on hold at the moment.

As per the report, UEFA will push EURO 2020 back to the Summer of 2021 instead to allow leagues and cup competitions to conclude over this Summer. Alternatively, it could be decided to move the European Championship's to November/December this year.

Moving EURO 2020 will come at a cost of €300 million to clubs but this is seen as a better outcome than not finishing league and cup campaigns.

The report from the Milan based newspaper goes on to add that world football's governing body FIFA will also step in and help out given the complications this situation has brought when it comes to things like player salaries.
