USMNT boss Mauricio Pochettino distanced himself from reports he held talks with AC Milan just ahead of the World Cup.

Pochettino, 54, is the man tasked with leading the USA as one of the host nations at this summer’s World Cup.
Recent reports coming out of Italy claimed that the former Chelsea and Tottenham manager had held talks with AC Milan over their vacancy just weeks before the tournament.
AC Milan decided to part ways with Massimiliano Allegri following their failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
It’s understood the Italian side are hoping to bring in a manager who will focus on youth development, something Pochettino has plenty of experience with.
When asked about the rumours, however, the Argentine simply responded: “No.”
He then admitted that his representatives may have held conversations, with his USMNT contract expiring immediately after the World Cup.
“We always say we finish our contract in July after the World Cup,” he explained.
“Of course there are approaches, and of course I’ve met different people from different clubs. That is normal. My representatives work to find the best possibilities for the future.
“If a club came and said, ‘we want you but you need to start tomorrow,’ I would say no, I’m committed to the national team,” he added.
