Federico Chiesa scores a fine solo goal to defeat Udinese, but Juventus only manage to finish in seventh place and qualify for the Conference League.

Match Report
This was a disappointing end to the campaign for Max Allegri’s men, who were ruled out of the Champions League by a 10-point penalty and knew qualification for the Europa or Conference League would also probably lead to UEFA exclusion for FFP violations.
Gleison Bremer, Dusan Vlahovic, Paul Pogba, Mattia De Sciglio and Nicolò Fagioli were out injured. The hosts missed Gerard Deulofeu, Isaac Success, Kingsley Ehizibue, Simone Pafundi and suspended Marvin Zeegelaar.
Fabio Miretti failed to make the most of an early Marco Silvestri error and Beto nodded over from a Florian Thauvin cross, while Juan Cuadrado’s free kick was fingertipped wide.
Leonardo Bonucci was unlucky to see his header come off the crossbar after a flicked-on Federico Chiesa, who was also dangerous with his angled drive at the near post.
Thauvin turned wide after a set play routine and Manuel Locatelli was denied by a deflection in the goalmouth scramble.
Adrien Rabiot struck the side-netting after springing the offside trap on the Arkadiusz Milik pass, but Juventus found their way through when Manuel Locatelli laid it off to Chiesa, who took one touch and curled into the far bottom corner from 12 yards.
Udinese fought back, a Sandi Lovric strike from distance testing Wojciech Szczesny and Silvestri’s crucial save on Federico Gatti from an Angel Di Maria cross.
Di Maria skimmed the woodwork and Szczesny got down for an excellent one-handed save on the Nehuen Perez daisy-cutter, but Destiny Udogie nodded over from a Roberto Pereyra cross.
