Manchester United fans are in revolt over the club's transfer policy and have vented their anger by getting #WoodwardOut to trend on Twitter.
Red Devils supporters are unhappy with executive vice chairman Ed Woodward, suggesting he has done a poor job of trying to strengthen United's squad this summer.
United have not announced any signings on deadline day so far, with Romelu Lukaku heading out of Old Trafford in a £72million deal.
One fan has named Watford's Abdoulaye Doucoure, Sporting's Bruno Fernandes and new Tottenham signing Tanguy Ndombele in a list of 11 players who 'would have improved' United's midfield.
It is understood United have pursued Fernandes throughout the summer, but they must act quickly if they are to strengthen their midfield before the deadline.
United have undoubtedly improved their defensive options, signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire, and hae injected pace up front by recruiting Daniel James.
Another disgruntled supporter tweeted: 'If you’re in charge of the worlds biggest football club and haven’t come close to a league title in your 6 year time in charge. You have to look at yourself and admit you can’t do your job'.
The fan attached a picture of the 'Ed Woodward - a specialist in failure' banner which United fans flew over Turf Moor in September 2018.
One person simply posted: 'Too many failed transfer windows means this man has got to go'.
