Marc Cucurella was clearly impressed by the first outing of Mykhailo Mudryk in a Chelsea shirt.
Speaking to the club media yesterday after the 0-0 draw with Liverpool, Cucurella complimented the new signing following his debut for the Blues.
Mudryk made his maiden outing under Graham Potter on Saturday at Anfield, a cameo that certainly captured the imagination.
The 22-year-old was bright and bubbly throughout his 35-minute spell on Merseyside, giving fans plenty to purr over.
He looked sharp in possession, despite not having played competitively since November.
His absence from the field of play didn't seem to deter the attacker, who was intent on signing off his debut in style.
Mudryk makes his Chelsea debut against Liverpool
Although the Ukrainian couldn't help Chelsea secure all three points, he definitely provided Potter a platter of positivity.
“He is very good, very fast, and he played really good after training for one or two days. I think the new players have a lot of energy to play for this club,” remarked Cucurella following Mudryk's encouraging performance.
A start for the Todd Boehly's latest recruit might just be round the corner off the back of the display against Liverpool.
Fulham will make the short trip across town to Stamford Bridge on Friday, a fixture Mudryk may have circled in the calendar.
It is the opponent that fellow fresh face Joao Felix earned his first start in blue, a display that demonstrated the good, the bad and the ugly.
If Mudryk can avoid getting sent off and repeat Felix's numerous flourishes, Chelsea could be on to a winner.
