Real Madrid defeated RB Leipzig 4-1 at home in the third round of the Champions League group stage. Vinicius started the match and did not attempt any dribbles. He also did not attempt any dribbles in the previous Champions League away game against Roma.
According to Opta statistics, Vinicius had zero dribble attempts in his last two appearances for Real Madrid. This is the first time in his Real Madrid career that he has started two consecutive games without attempting a dribble, covering all competitions.
In contrast, excluding these last two matches, Vinicius attempted dribbles in all but three of his 309 other starts for Real Madrid. In other words, the number of times this situation has occurred in the last two games is only one less than the total number of times it occurred in the other 309 games combined.
