Watford have confirmed the appointment of Vladimir Ivic as their new manager on a one-year deal.
Ivic who formerly managed Maccabi Tel Aviv and PAOK has been brought in to the club to help them return back to the Premier League at the club's first time of trying.
'First of all, from the beginning I have a big expectation of myself and of my coaching staff,' Ivic told Watford's official website.
'It's my first time in England and I need to adapt as fast as possible, to do the best for the club is very important to me.'
The 43-year old Serbian left his role as manager of Maccabi Tel Aviv at the end of the season after winning consecutive league titles.
Sportsmail revealed last month that Ivic was to hold talks with Watford's owners in Udine, Italy and he impressed them sufficiently to be handed the job.
Ivic also previously managed PAOK where he won the Greek Cup in 2017.
He succeeds Nigel Pearson who was suprisingly given the boot just two games before the end of last season which saw Watford relegated back to the Championship.
Former Leicester City coach Claude Puel, currently at St Etienne, had been the early favourite to succeed Pearson prior to Watford's relegation while Barnsley boss Gerhard Struber had also been considered.
