West Ham have hit out at their own fans that sung homophobic chants during the Premier League clash against Chelsea on Saturday.
The club's fans were accused of singing homophobic chants at Stamford Bridge, with The Hammers LGBT fan group Pride of Irons claiming supporters were singing 'Chelsea Rent Boys' - and the Chelsea Supporters Trust agreed it was 'continuous'.
And following the match, the Hammers have moved quickly to slam their own fans for their actions over the weekend.
A West Ham statement read: 'West Ham United in no way condones any behaviour that falls short of the highest standards which the club sets when it comes to equality.'
'At the London Stadium against Arsenal we will be celebrating and demonstrating the great work the club does to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for ALL supporters, including our LGBT+ fanbase, as part of our ongoing and unwavering support for the Rainbow Laces campaign.'
