Arsenal news: Mikel Arteta's men will take on Europe's elite in the Champions League next season after securing a top two finish in the Premier League

Arsenal will return to the UEFA Champions League for the first time since 2017 next season after securing second place in the Premier League table.

Mikel Arteta's men will enter the competition at the group stage phase, with their pot undecided just yet. UEFA rules state pot 1 consists of the holders, the Europa League winners and the champions of the six highest-ranked nations who did not qualify via one of the 2022/23 continental titles.

Pots 2 to 4 will be determined by the club coefficient ranking - Arsenal are ranked 23rd in the aforementioned coefficient table after not featuring in any European competition last season and exiting in the round of 16 this term. Depending on the outcome in a number of divisions, the Gunners could find themselves in Pot 3, setting up a potential 'Group of Death'.

Before they learn their opponents in the Champions League, a number of qualifiers will be played throughout the summer to determine which clubs will continue in the tournament. Here, football.london brings you all the key dates for the qualifying matches
