Manchester United vs Liverpool
The weekend’s marquee Premier League clash is set to play out later today.
The tie in question will see Manchester United and Liverpool face off at Old Trafford.
Liverpool head into the game on a fine run of form. The Reds would go to Spain in midweek and came away with an impressive 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid to ensure that they have picked up maximum points from their opening three Champions League games of the season.
Elsewhere, in the Premier League, Liverpool are the only side in the division yet to lose a single game this term.
Granted, they have drawn three of eight, but it is still an impressive record which put them just one point off table-toppers Chelsea before the current gameweek.
However, after Chelsea smashed Norwich on Saturday, Liverpool are well aware that a win is needed on Sunday to keep pace with the current league leaders.

Why Fabinho missed out vs Man United
But, Liverpool will have to do so without the services of one of their key players against Manchester United.
Liverpool would, of course, release their starting line-up an hour before kick-off.
The XI and squad was pretty standard, though it was slightly surprising to see Joel Matip dropped for Ibrahima Konate and Diogo Jota in for Sadio Mane.
Elsewhere, Fabinho was completely omitted from Liverpool’s starting line-up and matchday squad against United.
However, the Merseyside outfit were quick to provide an explanation for the Brazilian missing out, stating:
Fabinho misses out with a knock to his knee, which is not thought to be a long-term issue.
