Gary Neville and Ian Wright debated Arsenal and Chelsea's attacking options ahead of their Premier League clash.
As the two teams prepare to face off in the Premier League, Ian Wright disagreed with Gary Neville's assessment of Arsenal and Chelsea's front lines. The Gunners and Blues will meet at the Emirates Stadium, with both teams hoping to continue their strong starts to the season.
Arsenal have beaten Coventry and Aston Villa, while Chelsea have defeated Fulham and Brighton in their first two Premier League matches.
Wright and Neville, who were both involved in Sky Sports' coverage of the match, discussed the attacking options available to Mikel Arteta and Enzo Maresca.
Neville believed that Arteta, if given the choice, would prefer Chelsea's attacking lineup over the players he currently has at Arsenal.
"If you ask Arteta: 'Would you swap your front line with Chelsea's?' he would swap," Neville said.
"He would put Moisés Caicedo, Cole Palmer, and João Félix ahead of Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, and Martin Ødegaard. He would do that.
"So it's not Arsenal's strongest area, but he has done an excellent job building up the defence and midfield.
"If you don't concede goals, you have a great chance of winning almost every game. If you concede goals, you will drop more points."
However, Wright disagreed with Neville's view, with the Arsenal legend responding: "I don't agree with putting them ahead of Saka, Havertz, and Ødegaard. I don't agree."
Neville then replied: "Don't you think Arteta would choose Caicedo, Palmer, and João Félix over those three—Havertz, Saka, and Ødegaard, Ian?"
Wright then answered: "I would not, no."
Neville then ended the debate with an "Oh, my word."
Arsenal have strengthened their attacking options this summer by signing Alexios Tzolis, but have also allowed Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli, and Gabriel Jesus to depart.
Chelsea have also bolstered their attacking lineup, with new signings joining the squad at Stamford Bridge ahead of the transfer deadline.
