Football matches quite simply do not get much bigger than this. The 2022 World Cup final pits France against Argentina in a story that has the potential to be one of the most captivating in football history.
For France, they are aiming to become just the third nation to ever retain the global crown - following in the footsteps of the 1930s Italy side and Brazil, who last completed a double in 1958 and 1962 with Pele's magnificence. Kylian Mbappe - tipped by many to make the step up to the throne of the world's best player - leads France playing alongside a plethora of experienced stars bidding to win again.
On the other hand, there is Lionel Messi and Argentina. Again touted by many to be the greatest player of all time, this will surely be his final outing at a World Cup.
Multiple Champions Leagues, countless La Liga titles, the most Ballon d'Or trophies ever and even a Copa America to boot, the World Cup is the final piece in the jigsaw in Messi's cabinet. Many believe it is now or never for the little magician - which makes a win even more imperative.
But when is the World Cup final and how can you watch it? The Manchester Evening News has all the details.
France vs Argentina will take place on December 14, 2022. Kick off is a 3pm (UK time) at the Lusail Iconic Stadium, just 20 kilometres (12 miles) north of Doha.
The game will be broadcast live on BBC One, with coverage starting at 1:50pm. It will also be available to watch on ITV One, with coverage starting at 1:30pm.
You can also stream the game live on BBC iPlayer and ITV X, while highlights will be posted to FIFA's Official YouTube channel after the game.
Karim Benzema has missed the entire tournament with a thigh injury - though against the odds, reports have claimed that the Real Madrid star will be available in the final. If fairytales do exist, then a goal from the Ballon d'Or holder the day before his 35th birthday when it matters most would be something that even a script wouldn't be able to produce - in what would likely be his final World Cup appearance.
Elsewhere for Les Bleus, Christopher Nkunku continues to miss out with a ligament tear in his knee, and Presnel Kimpembe's recovery from an achilles tendon injury is slower than expected. Dayot Upamecano and Adrien Rabiot are expected to return after illness.
For Argentina, Lionel Messi has ruled out rumours that he is set to miss his final World Cup dance with a hamstring injury.
Angel Di Maria will have a late fitness test after suffering injury problems throughout the tournament, and full-backs Marcos Acuna and Gonzalo Montiel are both available after returning from suspension.
