According to A Bola Brasil, returning Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has told Florentino Pérez that the club must not let Marcelo leave.

Zinedine Zidane's return as Real Madrid coach could well have a major impact on a number of players' futures, not least Marcelo - who, according to a report in his native Brazil, 'Zizou' is and is eager to keep at the Bernabéu.

Marcelo strongly linked with summer Juve switch

The left-back, who had lost his place to Sergio Reguilón under sacked Madrid boss Santiago Solari, has been heavily tipped for a summer move to Juventus, with reports this week claiming that the 30-year-old has agreed terms with the Serie A champions.

Zidane tells Pérez not to let Brazilian go

However, A Bola Brasil claims that Zidane is "not giving up on Marcelo" and has told Madrid president Florentino Pérez that the LaLiga giants must not let him leave the Spanish capital at the end of the season.

The publication says Zidane is keen to get the Brazilian back to his best at Madrid and this week plans to sit down with the defender for talks that are set to play a key role in determining whether or not he ends his 12-year stay at the club.
