Zlatan Ibrahimovic has torn into his former manager Pep Guardiola, branding him as a 'spineless coward' who 'has no b***s'.

The 42-year-old Swede joined Barcelona in a blockbuster deal in 2009, scoring 16 goals in 29 appearances for the club.

However, shedding light on what his relationship was like with Guardiola at the club, he said he no 'longer had the freedom on the pitch' he needed in order to succeed as he became surplus to requirements.

'When I met, he told me: "Remember, the players here do not come with Ferraris."

'What did I do? Of course. I brought my f***ing Ferrari. I yelled: "You haven't got any balls!" and worse than that I added: "You can go to hell!"

'I completely lost it, and you might have expected Guardiola to say a few words in response, but he's a spineless coward.

'He just picked up the metal box, like a little caretaker, and then left, never to mention it again, not a word.'
