Manchester United have reportedly identified eight transfer targets for the upcoming January window.
It is highly likely that United will allow manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to invest this winter after a mediocre start to the Premier League season, where they sit nine points adrift from the top four.
For the past couple months, they have been linked with strikers across Europe from Juventus' Mario Mandzukic to RB Salzburg wonderkid Erling Braut Haaland. In preparation for the upcoming transfer window, Solskjaer has identified eight players he would like to bring to Old Trafford, according to ESPN.
Solskjaer is looking to add more youth to United's ranks after the summer arrivals of Harry Maguire, Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka. However, the Red Devils still need to strengthen their attacking options after the departures of Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Ander Herrera.
Haaland is the main target along with Borussia Dortmund and England winger Jadon Sancho after reports that the club were lining up a staggering £185million swoop for the two.
Haaland has scored 26 goals in 18 matches across all competitions and only recently turned 19 years old.
There is no doubt that the Norweigan star would team up well with his fellow countryman in the dug-out and would improve the clubs current goal scoring record, despite Marcus Rashford's recent up-turn in form.
Also on United's radar is Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson and Aston Villa duo John McGinn and Jack Grealish.
Wilson would add more attacking prowess to Solskjaer's front line but could come at a hefty price after Chelsea failed to land the strikers signature in the summer, despite being willing to pay the Cherries £50million for him.
United did show interest previously in Villa's John McGinn for a reported fee of £50million but manager Dean Smith will not go down without a fight for the Scottish midfielder if Solskjaer persists in his pursuit.
Jack Grealish would be a logical addition to the squad as current attacking midfielder Andreas Perriera has struggled to make an impact under Solskjaer. However, Leicester City midfielder James Maddison is also on the wishlist and it is highly unlikely that both of them could leave for Old Trafford this January.
West Ham's Declan Rice and Lyon forward Moussa Dembele are also on the radar as United prepare to spend big money to close to the gap on the Premier League's top four.
