‘It is possible that players will arrive’ – Enrique open to January signings

Speaking ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s match against Lille OSC, Luis Enrique has said that the club could be active during the January transfer window.

PSG invested considerably in the summer, shifting their focus to bring in younger profiles, a strategy led by sporting consultant Luis Campos. Bradley Barcola, Gonçalo Ramos, Manuel Ugarte, Randal Kolo Muani and Kang-In Lee all arrived at the Parc des Princes, even if that youth was balanced with a sprinkling of experience, with Lucas Hernandez and Milan Skriniar also joining Les Parisiens.

However, PSG could spend once again come January, Luis Enrique has confirmed. “The January transfer window is always difficult, but we are open to improving our team […] It is possible that players will arrive. I have lived in big teams my whole life. I manage dressing rooms with expectations, but also with human relationships. It is a pleasure to manage a group like this,” said Luis Enrique in a press conference, transcribed by Get French Football News.

PSG have reportedly prioritised strengthening at left-back. Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Rayan Aït-Nouri is a target, according to Sports Zone, however, a move could prove difficult, with the Algerian international prioritising game time, which wouldn’t necessarily be on offer at the Parc des Princes.
