Every evidence has shown the next AFCON will be held in next January and February again, in order to allow FIFA to hold the new Club World Cup in the summer.

The African Football Confederation (CAF) will announce the calendar of the next African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in coming weeks, which will be held in Cameroon in 2021.

According to L'Equipe, CAF has agreed to hold the AFCON in winter, from Jan 15 to Feb 14.

In 2017, CAF reformed the AFCON, adding 8 teams to the final stage and play it in summer.

There are also some questions about the host country Cameroon. Many stadiums' working progress is delayed. Gabon could take over the place if Cameroon can't finish the construction in time.
