According to AS, Spain's Football Federation Appeals Committee has upheld Vinicius' four-match ban. Real Madrid will now appeal to the Administrative Court of Sport.

The Appeals Committee rejected Real Madrid's appeal, meaning Vinicius will miss league matches against Sevilla, Barcelona, Racing Santander, and Valencia. He will not be available for league play until the match against Celta on November 21-22 following the international break. Real Madrid has referred the case to the Administrative Court of Sport.
Real Madrid made several requests in its appeal, all rejected. The club first asked for the two-match ban stemming from the red card to be rescinded, or alternatively, for Article 121.1 of the Disciplinary Code to be applied instead of Article 130.2 (citing precedent from previous hair-pulling incidents), which would reduce the penalty to one match. Second, Real Madrid requested the cancellation of the additional two-match ban for protesting to referee Díaz de Mera, arguing Article 127 of the Disciplinary Code should not apply, or at minimum that Article 118.1—which addresses only warnings—should be used instead.
The Appeals Committee rejected all of Real Madrid's arguments. Regarding the red card, the Spanish Football Federation's disciplinary body found no obvious material error by the referee and upheld the two-match ban, determining that Article 130.2 was correctly applied because the ball was not in active play. The committee stated that "no motivational defect was found that could lead to the revocation of the appealed decision." Therefore, the minimum penalty under this article is two matches.
