According to AS, Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise is a player who could reshape the transfer market in the coming years and has attracted the attention of several top European clubs, including Real Madrid. Bayern wants to extend his contract and is willing to make him the highest-paid player at the club.

Olise's current contract with Bayern runs until 2029. He joined Bayern two years ago from Crystal Palace for a transfer fee of approximately €53 million. It was surprising that several Premier League top clubs missed out on him at that price. Given his performance and interest from other teams, Bayern needs to meet his demands to secure the Frenchman's signature.
Bayern is prepared to do everything for Olise, offering to make him the club's highest-paid player, surpassing Kane and Musiala, by doubling his salary from the current €14 million to his requested amount of over €25 million annually.
However, there is one condition Bayern must concede, albeit reluctantly: Olise wants a release clause included in his contract. This would give him an exit option even while staying at the club. His insistence on this clause suggests that while Munich is an attractive proposition, he wants to retain flexibility in case he decides to leave in the future.
In Germany, release clauses are not standard practice unless explicitly stated in the contract, which is precisely what Olise and his agent are demanding. Recently, several Bundesliga clubs have added such clauses to contract extensions, including Gvardiol and Olmo at Leipzig. Others, like Haaland, had release clauses included in their initial contracts. Bayern has historically resisted this practice, but Kane, Musiala, and now Olise are forcing their hand.
The key challenge is agreeing on a release clause figure that satisfies both parties. Bayern is reportedly seeking €200 million, while Olise wants a significantly lower amount. This fundamental disagreement highlights the main sticking point in negotiations.
