Nashville SC, one of the league's expansion teams for the 2020 season, is in the run to get the Spanish defender once his contract with Atletico Madrid expires.
Nashville SC will be the other MLS expansion team beside Inter Miami to join the American league in the 2020 season, and the club from the Music City might do its debut in fashion by adding a two-time Europa winner and two-time Champions League runner-up.
According to ESPN Spanish reporter, Moises Llorens, Juanfran whose contract with Atletico Madrid expires by the end of June, has been linked with the MLS side as they are interested in adding the 34-year-old Spaniard to its team.
"Our technical staff is in the process of building a full roster and therefore is evaluating talent who fits our team culture and dynamic," said a Nashville spokesperson.
If Juanfran arrives in the Music City team, he'll turn 35 before Nashville's debut in the MLS as his birthday is in January.
