CARLO ANCELOTTI declared "I am the record man" after winning his FOURTH Champions League trophy.
The Real Madrid boss oversaw his side's 1-0 victory over Liverpool at the Stade de France last night.
The victory saw him take his tally of European Cups to four, overtaking the three apiece won by Bob Paisley and Zinedine Zidane.
After masterminding Madrid's win, the former Chelsea and Everton boss spoke to BT Sport.
He said: "We had a fantastic season. It was a difficult game and we suffered a lot.
"At the end of all the games we played, to win this competition we are really happy. I cannot say more.
"I am the record man. Champions League I have the luck. To come here last year and have a fantastic season.
"I found a fantastic club with a good squad with a lot of quality with a lot of strong mental character.
"We passed through difficult games. The supporters helped us a lot. In the end they are happy.
"Courtois… Wow unbelievable. I tell you, I cannot believe it."
Madrid's Champions League campaign got off to a disastrous start, as they fell 2-1 to Moldovan minnows Sheriff in their first home game.
They rallied back to win their group, however, and have shown the same fighting spirit ever since.
Ancelotti and Co came back from deficits against PSG and notably Manchester City - while also weathering a rousing Chelsea comeback in the quarter-finals.
Last night, Vinicius Jr's 59th minute goal was enough to win the club's 14th European Cup and Ancelotti's fourth as a manager - to add to two he collected as a player.
The Italian, 62, won his first as a coach with Milan in 2003 when his side beat Juventus on penalties at Old Trafford.
His side famously lost to Liverpool in Istanbul two years later, only to take revenge in 2007 - when they beat the Reds 2-1 in Athens courtesy of Filippo Inzaghi's double.
Ancelotti won his first with Madrid in 2014, in what was coined La Decima at the time.
Sergio Ramos' 93rd minute equaliser denied Atletico victory, before goals by Gareth Bale, Marcelo and Cristiano Ronaldo sealed victory in Lisbon.
