Tottenham injury news: Destiny Udogie impressed against Bournemouth, but became an injury concern late in the game.

It comes as the new era at Spurs has gotten off to a fine start, with the side picking up four points from Brentford and Manchester United in their opening two games. During both, the Lilywhites have displayed promising signs of the style of play they are looking to play going forward.

They were looking to continue that away at Bournemouth, knowing that another win would well and truly get their season off to a good start. The Cherries pressed high early on to put plenty of pressure on the visitors, but any concerns were dissipated after just 17 minutes.

The game management that followed ensured that Tottenham saw out the game and took home all three points. However, there was a concern over the fitness of Udogie towards the end as the youngster went to ground under very little pressure and had to receive medical attention.

The wing-back had to be taken off for Ben Davies, with many concerned over whether the Italian would be available for the next set of fixtures after his impressive start. Speaking after the game, Postecoglou confirmed he had spoken with Udogie and that the player was fine.

The head coach told the media: "I think he just kicked the ground from what I understand. He didn't want to come off but at that stage the way the rules are at the moment they go off for 30 seconds and I thought it was better putting Benny [Davies] on and keeping the tempo up in the game for us. Just speaking to him now he's fine."
