Paul Pogba has seen mixed success with his long run up and seemingly endless steps to take a penalty, but has Aritz Aduriz gone a step too far when it comes to spot kicks?

The Athletic Bilbao striker was given a perfect opportunity to open the scoring for his side against Real Valladolid after they won a penalty courtesy of a Keke handball on the stroke of half-time.
But the 37-year-old took an unorthodox approach to the penalty, opting to stand next to the ball before taking it.

With just a step backwards with his striking foot, the former Spain international then dispatched his spot-kick into the bottom corner across goal, with goalkeeper Jordi Masip guessing the right way but failing to get near enough to the effort.
It looked to be good enough to win the Spanish top flight encounter only for Oscar Plano to rescue a stoppage time equaliser for the visitors at the San Mames Barria.

The late loss of two points could prove crucial to Bilbao who now only sit one point and one place above the bottom three in La Liga.
Bilbao could drop into the relegation zone on Sunday evening if Rayo Vallecano, who have a game in hand, defeat Levante at home.
Valladolid's draw was enough to help them climb three places into 12th and to the relative safety of a congested mid-table.
