Arsenal transfer news: Galatasaray right-back Sacha Boey has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League after catching the eye with his performances in Europe
Arsenal have made their first move to sign Galatasaray right-back Sacha Boey with an opening bid worth €20million (£17.2million), according to reports in Turkey.
This season, Tomiyasu missed 17 games. The Japanese international's injury concerns have opened the possibility of another right-back arriving over the summer.
Boey, who recently helped Galatasaray to the Super Lig title, has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League after hitting the ground running since joining from Rennes in 2021.
And according to Turkish outlet Turkiye Gazetesi, Arsenal have submitted an opening bid worth €20million (£17.2million) for the 22-year-old and are "determined to finalise the transfer".
Unfortunately for sporting director Edu Gaspar, Galatasaray are expected to turn the offer down and demand more money for the right-back. With Brighton increasing their interest in the Boey, Arsenal will have a decision to make whether to make an improved offer.
