Marco Asensio returned to Madrid on Friday following his anterior cruciate ligament injury which is set to keep him out for the majority of the 2019/20 season.
The Real Madrid forward suffered the blow during his side's International Champions Cup draw against Arsenal on Tuesday night.
Asensio, who arrived accompanied by some of the club's medical staff, was seen getting into the back seat of a car from the airport with his leg supported in order to avoid any type of movement that could damage the injured leg.
The 23-year-old is set to undergo an operation in the coming days before beginning a lengthy rehabilitation programme.
