Aspas looking to round off his excellent end to the season

Iago Aspas is hoping to end the season on a high and secure Celta Vigo's place in LaLiga Santander for the following campaign.

The Galician side travel to San Mames to face Athletic Club and a win will virtually guarantee survival without relying on other results.

Celta could've only dreamed of being in such a commanding position going into the final two weeks of the season back at the start of spring.

Aspas has lifted them, almost single-handedly, out of the relegation zone after the club struggled during his three-month absence through injury.

In the seven games since Aspas's return to action, Celta have won four, drawn three and taken a total of 15 points out of a possible 21.

The Spanish striker has scored seven goals in that time and leads the Zarra trophy award for top Spanish scorer in LaLiga Santander; his tally of 17 is two better than Borja Iglesias.

Aspas will be looking to the four goals he's already notched against Athletic during his career, while he missed the 2-1 defeat to the Basque side in January.
