According to Barca Official, The Barça Legends will play in Morelia (Mexico) on January 17th, against a team from Morelia, the Leyendas de Morelia. This is the team's third time to visit Mexico since the Barca Legends was formed in 2016.
Although the final list of players called up for the match is not yet known, Barça Legends have already announced that they will travel to the Aztec country with players Rafa Márquez, Javier Saviola and Marc Crosas . For their part, Morelia Leyendas will have Raúl Ruidiaz, Shaggy Martínez, Bofo Bautista and Hugo Droguett , among others, as key players.
Third visit to Mexico
The match in Morelia will be the third visit of the Barça to Mexico after the matches played in Toluca and Monterrey respectively. The first match was in April 2025 against Real Madrid Leyendas in Toluca, and the match ended in a 2-2 draw. The winner was decided on penalties and it took 10 kicks from 11 meters to find the final winner. The second was last August when the Barça players defeated Tigres Leyendas 2-3 with a hat-trick from David Villa.
