Barca and Bastoni agree to five-tear contract; next step is transfer fee

According to SPORT, Barcelona's advancement of the Bastoni transfer has made key progress, and a principled agreement has been reached with the player on a five-year contract.

Next, Barcelona will start formal negotiations with Inter on the transfer fee. This transaction is also regarded as one of the team's key signings this summer.

Formal contact between the two clubs is imminent. Barcelona hopes to use this transaction as one of the key operations in this summer's market and strive to complete it before the start of the World Cup. Now the really difficult part has just begun, because there are still differences between the two sides on the player's valuation, but all parties are seeking a consensus.

According to "Milan Sports News", Bastoni has fully agreed to promote his departure from Inter, and Inter is also aware of the relevant developments in recent weeks and the player's own decision. Bastoni hopes to leave in a friendly manner, so he also expects that the negotiations can achieve positive results in the coming weeks. In the past few seasons, the Italian international has also received very important offers, but he has always asked the club not to listen. Now that he has taken this step, this transaction has officially entered the stage between the two clubs.

The plan offered by Barcelona to Bastoni is quite sincere and in line with the club's strategic positioning of the defender. Bastoni's salary will be significantly improved, and he will also get a long-term plan, so he has given up the possibility of renewing his contract with Inter. However, Bastoni's attitude is also very clear, if the two clubs ultimately fail to reach an agreement, he will not have any objection to continuing to stay at Inter. For Bastoni, there are only two options now, either continue to stay at Inter or join Barcelona, and he is now clearly inclined to the latter.

Inter had not publicly stated anything about this matter until this week, when the club's sports director Ausilio made his first statement, directly calling on Barcelona to take action as soon as possible. In the past few months, Inter has learned about Barcelona's interest in Bastoni through the player's agent, but there has been no formal contact between Barcelona and Inter. Bastoni's team has also been testing the approximate valuation of the center-back, and now the negotiations have entered a critical stage. Inter hopes to maximize profits as much as possible, while Barcelona believes that the transfer conditions should also change after the player has experienced a difficult season both at the club and in the Italian national team.

According to news from Italy, Inter initially labels Bastoni for 70 million euros. Inter is willing to accept a lower fixed transfer fee plus floating terms, but this approach does not conform to Barcelona's current operating ideas. Barcelona prefers to control the entire transaction at around 45 million to 50 million euros, while adding a young player in the team with a value of more than 10 million euros. Hector Fort's name has been mentioned before, but Inter also appreciates Swedish player Bardghji and is also interested in goalkeeper Aaron Jacobishvili. The latter has played an excellent season in FC Andorra, showing great potential. Overall, there is still room for the transaction to reach an agreement, and the possibility of completing the agreement is not small.
