The AFE-League Mixed Commission concluded that Barca did not need to pay Vidal an unpaid bonus of €2.4 million, according to La Vanguardia.
The AFE-League Mixed Commission, once studying the claims and allegations, has not admitted to processing the claim of 2.4 million euros from Arturo Vidal, considering that it is not a default but a different interpretation of the contract. The Chilean midfielder has the opportunity to go to the ordinary justice system.
The club has always been quiet about this since the ABC newspaper uncovered Vidal's complaint against Barcelona, from which he claims 2.4 million euros as a bonus he has not paid last season.
Barca considers that the Chilean's action is a clear manoeuvre to try to force his exit, especially considering that Inter Milan is very interested in hiring him in January.
Vidal's claims are the result of a misinterpretation of the many clauses in the contract he signed with the club in summer 2018.
Unlike what Vidal claims, who claims to collect the bonus for having played 60% of the matches, plus the bonus for winning the League and qualifying for the fourth and eighths of the Champions League, the Catalan club considers that it is only up to 50% of the bonus corresponding to the League title and 50% of the bonus for having qualified for the round of 16 and quarterfinals of the Champions League, having not reached the minimum number of matches required to collect the full prize.
In addition, Barcelona believes that if Vidal has not played 60% of official matches, it does not correspond to him any amount for it.
Vidal played the course last 51.66% of the matches according to report and signed requirement that the duels in which he played a minimum of 45 minutes count.
In the case of the Chilean, of the 53 matches he played, in 31 he did more than 45 minutes and it is these that generate 51.66%, insufficient to collect the variable according to the contract.
