Barcelona have reportedly returned to within their La Liga-set salary limit, after closing a deal with hospitality and services giant Aramark.
The Catalan club announced a deal on Thursday afternoon, which will see Aramark become a partner in the Espai Barca project, and assume the €40m stake in Barca Vision that Libero have not paid for. That plugs a €40m hole in their accounts from last season, and ensures they will not make a loss during their financial will, as per Relevo. The end result is that Barcelona can sign players without restrictions on how much they can spend – sort of.
The Blaugrana are due another €60m from Libero this summer, but as it is part of the 2024-25 economic cycle, is not as urgent as the Aramark deal was. They are now working on deals with Spotify and Nike to take on the rest of the Libero payments for Barca Vision.
