Barcelona have confirmed Dani Olmo has suffered an adductor injury, meaning he will miss this Sunday's Clasico against Real Madrid.

Olmo was replaced inside the first 30 minutes of Barca's Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday after picking up the knock.

The 28-year-old has directly contributed to five goals (one goal, four assists) in 12 appearances for Barca this season, with only six of those coming as a starter.

Only Lamine Yamal has recorded more assists for Barca this term (10), while the teenager (19) is also the only Blaugrana player to create more Opta-defined 'big' chances than Olmo (eight).

Barca released a statement which read: "Tests carried out confirm that Dani Olmo is suffering from an injury to his left adductor muscle as a consequence of a collision with an opponent during the game against Paris Saint-Germain.

"The player is expected to be out for around a month."

Barca host rivals Madrid in the first Clasico of the season on Sunday, hoping to extend their lead over Jose Mourinho's side.

The Blaugrana are top of LaLiga after winning all nine of their games this season, while Madrid are third on 21 points.
