Endrick is being regarded as the next big thing in Brazilian football. The youngster from Palmeiras has made a solid impression in the lower leagues and is soon set to make his professional debut, at the age of just 16.
This has been reported by Diario SPORT, who suggests that the youngster is being monitored by a host of clubs across Europe including FC Barcelona. Even Real Madrid have been on the tail of the young attacker, who is tipped to make his debut in the coming game against Santos.
A centre-forward by trade, Endrick has six goals to his name in Copinha. He has been one of the consistent performers in the youth divisions of Brazilian football and it appears a senior call-up could soon be on the horizon.
Endrick had been already training with Palmeiras' senior side for a week, and the Brazilian press assume that coach Abel Ferreira will hand him an opportunity against Santos, which is set to be played in Sao Paulo on Sunday.
Endrick signed his first professional contract in July when he turned 16. He signed a three-year deal that does not expire until 2025. It gives Palmeiras the leverage to hold out for a hefty fee for the young prodigy, who could soon ply his trade in one of the biggest leagues in Europe.
Palmeiras fans have been already crying out for Endrick's debut in the Brazilian top-flight, especially after the youngster's blistering performances in the youth leagues.
Barcelona, to that end, are closely monitoring the player and remain attentive to his situation, as he is one of the club's main goals in the transfer market with an eye on the future.
It will not come as a surprise to see the Catalans make an attempt to sign the 16-year-old in the near future, even though the player will not be eligible to move to Spain until he turns 18.
