Lewandowski spoke about playing alongside Messi for Barcelona.
Speaking in an interview in Poland, Robert Lewandowski discussed winning the LaLiga title with Barcelona, the possibility of having Lionel Messi back at the club and the striker encouraged his former team-mate Joshua Kimmich to join the Blaugrana.
“I would like to play with him [Messi] here. He has changed his style in recent years. It’s easier to play with players who understand football as deeply as he does,” said Lewandowski.
On Kimmich
He added: “It’s very worthwhile coming to Barcelona. The atmosphere here is very different to what you experience at Bayern Munich. They are two great clubs, but the experience and the challenge is different.”
On celebrating the LaLiga title
“I’m proud of our season. Winning the league and the Super Cup is a great achievement. This title tastes different to the ones I won with Bayern. And I won eight in a row. Here we are in transition. We are building something new.”
