Bayern Munich have gone back to the basics as they look to use this winter training camp to recharge the batteries and step up their title tilt.
Under-pressure boss Niko Kovac has sought solace in the Qatar heat and taken his players over to work on their fitness ahead of their return to Bundesliga action later this month.
The Bayern squad were put through their paces in sweltering conditions at the Aspire Academy in Doha and went through a number of ball-related drills as well as fitness exercises.
Key figures such as Manuel Neuer, Arjen Robben, Franck Ribery and Jerome Boateng were all in action on Saturday morning with the whole first-team squad making the trip out for their week-long training camp.
Bayern will spend some more time in Qatar before taking a flight back to play Fortuna Dusseldorf in a friendly match next Sunday.
Kovac will hope this training camp will have a significant impact as they look to improve in the second-half of the season.
Bayern had been building up some momentum before the Christmas break but still trail arch-rivals Borussia Dortmund by six points in the race for the Bundesliga title.
They will get their league campaign back underway with a trip to Hoffenheim on Friday, January 18.
